Sam & Kate.
Wow, what a beautiful day Sam & Kate chose!
The sun was shining and the skies were clear on the drive up from Eastbourne to Bexley. I arrived at St Mary's Church and began setting up while waiting for the first guests to arrive. The church was soon filled with lots of Sam & Kate's closest friends and family. As Sam arrived, we set him up with a small lapel microphone (hidden away) and began to prepare for the arrival of Kate.
Sam looked completely in love with his soon to be bride as Kate gracefully walked down the aisle, alongside dad Nigel, in an utterly breathtaking dress. The reverend Gary began his service and not long after the couple said their vows & had become husband and wife. The guests followed the new Mr & Mrs Dixon outside the church where they gave their congratulations, threw confetti and posed for some photos in the glorious sunshine.
Soon after, the guests made their way to the amazing wedding bus and headed off to The Trafalgar Tavern in Greenwich. This beautiful venue, overlooking the Thames, played host to some lovely words said by Nigel, but also to some profanities from Sam & his brother James' hilarious '18-rated' speeches. The sun was soon setting over London, the kids were eyeing up the Krispy Kreme doughnuts surrounding the wedding cake, Harry & Poppy were playing and the lights were being dimmed for the first dance. A very touching moment followed, as Kate & her dad Nigel shared a dance to 'you are the sunshine of my life' soon after joined by Sam & his mum, then the floor cleared ready for Sam & Kate's first dance. They danced to Plan B - 'Love Goes Down' and emerging from the back of the crowd, a saxophone started playing. This then led the way for the dance floor being occupied for the entire night including a group dance to 'Candy' by Cameo
There were smiles from start to finish at this beautiful wedding and I feel very blessed to have been a part of it. Thank you to Sam & Kate for having me, a huge congratulations to you both!!
